Who we are

The journey to a better world starts with just one decision –

‘To make an impact – where it is most needed’.

We are RV Diya Charitable Trust, a credible platform through which you can touch the lives of those who need support.

We impact lives by helping the most vulnerable individuals.

As a community-based trust, we extend our support in kind to the poor and needy in an organised and structured manner by auditing and empaneling NGOs.

We also run standalone education, health, & geriatric care programs – annually touching thousands of lives.

What do we do?

We support NGOs that are doing good work and need support.

We provide sustainable support to NGOs by supplying basic necessities that they need on a regular monthly basis. These include groceries, vegetables, milk, medicines, etc.

Additionally, we provide annual support to some NGOs based on their requirements for necessary items like blankets, ration kits,  books, stationery, shoes, bags, freezers, fridge, computers, projectors, construction material, etc.

Under our unique education initiative called ‘Empower a Child’ – we subsidise up to 50% of the school fees of lesser privileged children.

We extend healthcare support as part of our ‘Save a Life’ programme, that includes part-sponsorship of the cost of medical treatment / surgery.

How do we work?

We are run completely by volunteers with negligible overheads.

Most of our volunteers are community members – founders, CEOs, CFOs, COOs, doctors, chartered accountants, IITians, IIM alumnus, ISBians, BITSians etc., who are successful and well-settled in their life. These volunteers form teams that own different areas – Fund Raising, Operations, Onboarding, NGO coordination, Education, Healthcare, Accounts & Communications.

Volunteers have put in place, strong systems and processes to run RV Diya Charitable Trust professionally, with detailed SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for each area of operation. Thus, the administrative cost of running the trust is very low.

Almost all the donations that are received by RV Diya Charitable Trust are used towards supporting the lesser privileged.

Our Offering

Many of us want to give back to society & touch the lives of the lesser privileged in our own little way.

But – when we have to donate – we have our own doubts. We don’t know which NGO is doing good work. We have questions like “Is the NGO using funds correctly? How can I be sure if my donation is reaching the needy?”

And we don’t have the time, bandwidth or skills to carry out due-diligence on our own. So – how do we figure out which NGO to support?

This is where RV Diya Charitable Trust plays a crucial role.

We carefully shortlist NGOs and conduct detailed due-diligence that involves:

  1. Review of IT Registrations (80G and12A Certificates)
  2. Review of Financial records (PAN, IT Returns, Bank Statements)
  3. Word of Mouth Feedback to evaluate the past work
  4. Review of Operations by visiting their Center and having detailed discussions with the Founding Trustee and beneficiaries.

So – if you wish to touch the lives of those in need, you can now donate through RV Diya Charitable Trust.
